Membership

The Parkway Arts monthly membership provides artists the space and tools to realise their creative ideas. We provide handbuilding tools, clay, glazes and the opportunity to fire what you produce. Please note we do not have wheels at the studio and cannot house any wheels owned by members

The Parkway Arts studio membership offers:  

• access to Parkway Arts studio from 6am until 11pm 7 days a week (excluding workshop hours).

• 1 bag of clay - white stoneware, crank or ES5 Scarva Original

• use of all Stoneware glazes

• a 30cm wide x 10cm tall kiln shelf load in a kiln firing to 1239 degrees

• use of all pottery equipment in the studio

Facilities include:

• Workbenches for hand-building

• A shelf to store your work in progress

• Forms and moulds for slab-building

• Plaster moulds for slip casting

• approximately 30 different glaze options

• a variety of tools for handbuilding and slipcasting

• a selection of books about handbuilding and general pottery knowledge

Monthly membership is for those with prior ceramics experience. We will need to see a portfolio of your work (however small!) and an understanding of studio practice. If you are keen to join but have no prior experience it is recommended that you join one of our pottery courses initially.
